Founded in Carrara in 1957 with the technical and industrial support pioneer brand Chester Barrie, d’Avenza was born from the meeting of two traditions: British tailoring techniques, that adapted bespoke-grade quality to scaled production, and the refinement of Italian craftsmanship.

From the outset, the house became known not for its branding, but for its instantly recognizable feel — an ideal balance of lightness and structure, sought after by those who understood what mattered most.
Each d’Avenza jacket is cut, canvassed, and stitched by hand. Its proportions are the result of decades of refinement, combining Italian fluidity with English clarity in line and form.
